Dr. Varma is a Board Certified Internist and has been practicing medicine for 25 years. She attended medical school at Northwestern University, in Chicago and pursued an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She spent 16 years of her career as an acute care physician. She spent five years in Honolulu, Hawaii before arriving in Grand Rapids at then Spectrum Health. After 10 years of inpatient care, she pivoted to the care of the underserved at Cherry health for seven years. Trueline health found her most recently, and she is embarking on a brand new endeavor that entirely serves the Medicare population. Utilizing the tenants of lifestyle interventions to include physical movement, nutritional health, and mental well-being. Dr. Varma is the lead physician at an organization that hopes to pioneer better care for our seniors. In her words, “We must provide the utmost of care for our elders.
